大多数杂志都会要求作者在投稿的时候，让你写一篇cover letter。
什么是cover letter？
如果你去求职，别人会大致看你的简历，你去投文章，别人也会看类似的东西，这个就是是你的cover letter。一封强有力的cover letter是强调你的研究重要性并”出售”给期刊编辑的机会。
cover letter应该包含什么内容？
- 编辑的名字
- 标题
- 杂志名称
- 声明你的论文以前尚未发表，目前未被其他期刊考虑
- 简要描述你在论文中报道的研究，为什么它很重要，以及为什么你认为杂志读者会对此感兴趣
- 您和任何作者的联系信息
- 确认你没有竞争利益
要避免的事物：
- 不要过度的用同一个模板，有时候用别人的模板竟然把杂志名字搞错了，编辑看到必然生气；
- 不要使用太多的行话或太多的首字母缩略词，保持语言简单易读；
- 避免太多细节， 最多保留一页，作为介绍和简要概述；
- 避免任何拼写和语法错误。

在文章修回的时候，还需要再写一篇cover letter
