Postdoctoral fellow and visiting scholar/student positions are available in the lab of Dr. Zhipeng Meng for work on projects elucidating roles of the Hippo pathway and mechanotransduction in tissue growth, carcinogenesis, and microenvironment remodeling. Dr. Meng is an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology in the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, and has had an illustrious career in academic research, including first-author papers in Nature, Nature Communications, Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, among others. The successful candidates for the postdoctoral positions will have a doctoral degree (Ph.D or M.D) in a relevant background of biological/biomedical sciences, as well as a preferred track record of productivity in authoring peer-reviewed publications. Salary and fringe benefits for the postdoctoral positions will be supported by the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, and commensurate with experience, expertise, and the University guidelines.

The selected candidates will have the opportunities to employ molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, and mouse genetics approaches in the research, and will benefit from the outstanding environment of the NCI-designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami for his scientific growth and career development.  Miami is one of the most international cities in the United States, and has a very livable environment (e.g. great climate, nice food, and modern public transportation system).
